The Holy Land touches us in various ways 1

The Holy Land touches us in different ways – a spot in a sacred site, an experience, a long walk – each of the passengers in our current pilgrimage tour has their story to tell.

Our Holy Land experience

For the MBM girls, the tears of awe, or perhaps the touch of the Lord has made some visits unforgettable.

At the Church of Ascension, Jerusalem

I had been to Holy Land a couple of times in the past, accompanying my parents who had been doing pilgrimage tours for several decades. The Chapel of Asencion which was our first stop seemed something ordinary for me whenever we visited.

However, after almost a decade, I was inspired by the Lord together with my two friends to continue this fulfilling endevour. Little did I know that when I kissed the ground where it is believed Jesus ascended to heaven, I would shed some tear.  It was so surprising but I simply felt blessed, joyous, awed, an unexplainable feeling indeed.

At the altar at Gethsemane in Jerusalem

Bebette on the other hand told us she felt the same way when we were fortunate to be able to enter the altar in Gethsemane and kiss the rock where Jesus experienced His Agony.  There was a Mass by an Indian group when we arrived.  We knew it was impossible to be able to get in and kiss the sacred rock surrounded by Thorns.

However, during offertory, everyone stood at the center to be able to take turns in kissing the rock.  Perhaps it was our guardian angel,  the holy spirit and heavens all together which made us decide to ask the priest at the side altar if we can go in. He nodded so off we rushed in the middle of the altar.  Bebette just felt the Lord’s hand and shed a tear.

At the Last Supper Room

Mica on the other hand,  was moved by the Holy Spirit when we visited the Last Supper Room.  I called her so I can take her photo when I saw her crying. I told her it is also in this room that the holy spirit descended on the apostles head.  In fact in the past, I witnessed some pilgrims speaking in tongues in this same place.

We hope to bring more pilgrims to the Holy Land and experience being touched by God.
